It's the most Wonderful Time of the Year!

So at first, Jack begged me to let him be Mickey Mouse this year for Halloween (even though I had already bought a vampire costume on clearance last year). So with a few adjustments to a store bought costume and the addition of some awesome Mickey Hands (from our friends Emily and Anthony) I thought Jack made a great Mickey Mouse! His first Halloween experience this year was at his school's Halloween Party. We saw some of the cutest Halloween costumes (people around here are much more creative then I am!) We saw a spider, pirates, firefighters, superheroes, a hunter in camo, another mickey mouse and his teacher dressed up as Ariel from The Little Mermaid! Once he saw the other kids costumes and found out that his cousin Trae was going to be a pirate for Halloween he informed me that his costume was not scary enough! He said that he wanted to be an "umpire" (vampire) for the Annual Nephi City Trick or Treat. So on Friday I hauled out the face paint and back-up vampire costume so he and his cousin could go Trick or Treating with Great Grandma Kayle. We went around to almost all of the businesses that were participating and Jack and Trae brought in quite the candy haul!

After dealing with the black spray paint in his hair, smeared face paint everywhere and a black ring around the tub after it was all said and done, I decided that he had to go back to being Mickey Mouse for the final Trick or Treat on Halloween. We went as a duo, I was Minnie to Jack's Mickey. We met up with Grandma Ann and hit all of the houses in her neighborhood. I can't believe how much candy Jack got.. tons for a three year old! We'll be eating candy for a month (Jack would eat it faster if he could).. so now every thirty minutes or so Jack asls "Can I have some candy?"

We've had a VERY fun filled month! I had a great birthday weekend. Jace surprised me with tickets to a country concert (Jason Aldean) that I really had wanted to go to! It was great to spend some time as a couple! Then we continued my birthday celebrating with a trip to the Nephi Golf Course. Jack loves to practice his putting on the green and soon we'll have to get him his own clubs!

We also had a great visit from Emily, Barbara and Logynn in October! We had so much fun (at least I did..) catching up, crafting, shopping and going to the Witchfest at Gardner Village. Jack got his face painted for the first time!

We also spent some time at Jace's family farm in Meadow, Utah. Its such a beautiful place.

And last but not least Jack got to have a dress rehearsal for Halloween, this year he wanted to be Mickey Mouse and he can't wait to go trick or treating!

We are so proud of our Big Boy! Jack had no separation anxiety on the first day of school. We pulled up to the Apple Academy and he jumped out of the car and said "BYE!!"
So far he has loved it, learning colors and how to use scissors.
Jack has gotten time out a few times.. for fighting with the kids over toys. It seems like Mrs. Blackett must have some really great toys!
He is learning to share and hopefully making friends, although he has told me "I like to play by myself"

Jack turned three in July, we had a fun family party. He requested party hats, noisemakers and a chocolate caramel cake. He loved all of his presents, namely his new bed, a bowling set and a giant coloring book. He learns fast though.. when he opened a card from his great grandma and grandpa he said "YES MONEY, my favorite!"

Payson Pool

I thought that going to Payson Pool would be any kids best day! So we went with our friends Janelle, Kenna, Hailey, Jerricka and our next door neighbor Bracken. Jack loves the idea of going to a water park, but the actual thing is much less fun. There are wading pools, mini water slides, sprinklers to play in and a lazy river. Being that Jack does not like to get his face wet it turned out to be much less fun then imagined. For anyone who lives in the area I highly recommend it, its similar to Scera pool but on a much smaller scale and usually less people (depending on when you go). We had fun with "the girls"!

Starfish

Jack went to Swimming Lessons this year all by himself. He was in the Starfish class. We came a long way from crying everytime he had to get in the pool, to jumping off the diving board. Things he learned this year: belly float, back float, "tigger bounces", getting his face wet, flutter kicks and pool safety. The teacher wrote a note at the end of the classes " Jack is doing great, but he needs to get more comfortable in the water" So we'll repeat Starfish next year. The best part for Jack was hanging out with all his "friends" (teachers) they gave him a special nickname "Jack Attack" for days he insisted thats what everyone call him.

Troop #262 reunited in Las Vegas a few weekends ago. My Mom came for a visit and came along with me. After a five hour drive we made it just in time for Happy Hour at a Chocolate Bar.. YUM! Dinner at Koi a great Sushi place, a visit to an interesting club, LOTS of shopping, lunch at Dick's (where the idea is to be as rude as possible), walking around the strip at night and "hey YOU take your shirt off!" there is never a dull moment with these girls. Gotta LOVE Slips Trips and Falls.

I think Valentines is Jack's second favorite holiday (first is Halloween) because he got lots of goodies. We had a "Balentines" party with his friends and made cards and decorated cupcakes. On Valentines he got a "sweet balloon" (his words) from his Grandma and Grandpa, Great Grandma and cousin Trae brought him a card and some suckers. The neighbors also brought him a Valentine goody bag, Mom and Dad bought his first Classic Corvette (toy of course) and Meme and Pepe send a box full of fun stuff including a Curious George book!

Field Trip

Jack has been asking to go on a "field trip" and since we had a weekend of freakishly good weather we decided to go fishing at Salem Ponds. Jack (I) caught his (my) first fish on his Toy Story fishing pole and it was a big one! We caught too many fish to count and stayed for four hours because it was so fun.

When it snows Jack always says "Its snowman time" even though he had never made a snowman before. In fact he says "snowman" in reference to anything snow related. For example "snowball" is a "snowman ball" etc. My dad came for Christmas and Jordan came to visit so we decided to make our first snowman. It turned out great, Jack still talks about it to anyone who will listen.

We opted out of waiting in line for two hours to see Santa this year. Jace decided really, but in any case I'm sure it would just terrify Jack as it does most two year olds. We definitely are planning on doing it next year (At least I am, I won't let Jace talk me out of it) there are just some things that you have to do with your kids.. visiting Santa is one of them. So long story short instead of visiting Santa I took some pictures of Jack in front of the tree. He loves to look at the ornaments and he even made some cute ones this year to give to our family. I love the jammies and cheesy smile!

Trick or Treating with Daddy, luckily we had a break in the weather but we were disappointed that we were the only ones our Trick or Treating this year.. literally. Every house we went to said that Jack had been their only Trick or Treater.

Bundling up always ruins the effect of the costume.

Jack was so excited to dress up as Handy Manny. The best part was that he got some cool new tools and a tool belt.I love that we were able to think of a costume that got Jack a new toy!

Chloe dressed up as a dog this year, as you can tell she doesn't get as excited about Halloween as we do.

You can't live in Nephi and not be a huge fan of the Wasps! We took Jack to his first High School Football game and he loved it. Really I wanted to go to see our cousin Morgan cheer.. Jack loved every part of it from yelling "one, two, three GO!" whenever the team snapped the ball, to yelling "GO MORGIE!" and he the best part for him was the band right next to us. (Don't tell Jace that was his favorite part though) He now says "Horns!" and he really liked the big huge drums. Our future MVP (or band nerd).

Jack and I were finally done being sick and now Daddy got it! I decided that I would take Jack on a "date" to get us out of Jace's hair. I called my friend Brittany and invited her along (its much easier to keep track of a two year old in a busy movie theater when you have two people). We saw Despicable Me which was pretty cute, Jack mostly enjoyed the fun music and spent most of the movie entertaining everyone around us with his dance moves. We all ate wayyy too much popcorn and drank tons of pop.. in other words we had fun.

Yes it is time for "US" to start the night shift again for three months. I get to sleep alone.. well with the boogeyman that I imagine is roaming my neighborhood at night. I don't get too much sleep but Jace seems to like it okay. He gets to watch movies and take occasional naps when the shift is slow.. I get to stay up all night thinking of the masked man who undoubtedly knows I am home alone and unarmed. He looks forward to this shift.. I tend to dread it other then the fact that we do get to see him a little more often and he is a little less grumpy due to the cat naps at work. I can't wait til its time to go back on days.. but I do appreciate how hard Jace works to take care of us!

Toy Story 3

We Loved it! Jack is obsessed with Toy Story so we decided that we'd take him to the theater for his first movie. It was in 3D and we were worried he wouldn't keep the glasses on... he did for the most part. Jack still needs to learn that you can't shout out in the middle of the movie when you are at the theater, but other then that it was a success. I don't think Jack has ever eaten that much popcorn or drank that much Root beer in one sitting!

I've always thought Jack was the cutest kid in the world.. okay so I'm a little biased. Lately he has started getting a little camera shy ( I know almost impossible to believe if you know Jack ). He is more interested in taking the pictures and playing with the camera then actually having his picture taken. I've toyed with the idea of trying to take Jack's two year pictures (he'll be two in July...scary!) on my own.. I've always like the idea of some artsy fartsy pics of him.. but truth be told I'm not that artsy fartsy. I've entered a giveaway @fennphotography.com, keep your fingers crossed for us! Jace likes to spend his extra time in the Summer going fishing.. which up til now left me and Jack at home bored out of our minds. So we decided to take Jack and see what he thought about it all. At first he sat with his "Fishing Pole" quietly until he realized that fishing involves a lot of waiting and watching.. so he gave up in pursuit of throwing every single rock on the shoreline into the lake. Jace's first catch scared Jack because it splashed around so much and jumped off the hook in a successful escape attempt. The second one Jace caught Jack got excited about and wanted to grab it out of Jace's hands. He touched it and said "ewww!" then he told me "I caught a fish!" Jace is so proud that his son has taken up the sport with him, and everytime we get in the truck he asks "Go Fishing?"

Having been an only child I appreciate my girlfriends so much, old and new! These amazing women have seem me through so much! Bad hair, bad fashion, bad acne, boyfriends, heartbreak, headaches, bad grades, good grades, road trips, sadness, happiness, camp outs, sleep overs, getting married, having kids, moving, fights with husband, fights with parents, birthdays, holidays, girls weekends, high school, middle school, elementary school, Summers!, tantrums, bad moods, late night phone calls, child birth, celebrations, shopping, movies, bbq's, Baking, decorating, blogging, cleaning, laughing, crying, girl scouts, fund raisers, crafting, school, and all the trials and blessings that life sends my way. I love my family so much.. and My Girls are my family too!

18 Months

I know everyone says this but kids grow up too fast! When we went to get Jack's pictures taken he was cheesing it up big time! The photographer said she had never seen an 18 month old pose the way he did. The pictures were all so cute that I wanted to buy them all... but I know in another six months we'll take them all over again and I'll want to buy all of those ones too! Jack is no longer Mommy's little angel.. we are fast approaching the terrible twos. Jack is getting his molars which is probably attributing to the problem but he is also prone to getting into things (very quietly so he doesn't get caught), eating crayons and whining. I'm trying to enforce a strict "No Whining" policy in our house but sometimes I have to pick my battles and ignore the little stinker. We still love to play outside (when the weather permits), play ball, read books and watch the Disney Channel.. especially the Imagination Movers. I can't wait until I no longer have a toddler so I never again have to watch PlayHouse Disney.

I know Jack is as excited as I am for Winter to be over already! Its too cold to play outside for more then 15 minutes and we hardly ever get out of our PJ's. It certainly is fun to be lazy for a few weeks but after a few months we are starting to get Cabin Fever! Here is a list of things we look forward to doing once it gets warmer:

Healthy Recipe

Healthy Carrot Muffins
(My new Favorite Recipe)

Ingredients:
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons ground flax seed (can be omitted if you don't have it)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
1/3 cup applesauce
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
4 medium carrots finely grated (about 2 cups).. I just put them in the food processor..
1/2 cup canned crushed pineapple (slightly drained)
1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 12-18 muffin cups or line with paper liners.

Whisk the flours, brown sugar, flax seed, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. In separate bowl whisk the eggs and combine with applesauce and vanilla extract.

Fold the wet and dry ingredients together. Stir in carrots, pineapple and walnuts until evenly moist. Divide the batter among the muffin cups. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centers comes out clean. Turn muffins onto cooling rack, store in an airtight container.

Our Mayan Adventure

So since we've been cooped up in the house for a few months I suggested to Jace that we take Jack out for a night on the town.. but what can you do indoors thats fun for little kids? We decided on The Mayan Restaurant in Sandy (http://www.themayan.com/). The food is notoriously bad but we'd heard a rumor they had made some improvements. Here's how it went:

Santa came to our house early because Jace had to work Christmas and we didn't want him to miss out on the excitement. This year Jack got very good at opening presents and eating junk.. he caught onto the meaning of Christmas quickly.

It was a good year for Jack... he was spoiled by everyone in our family.

Like I said he caught on pretty fast.. the paper and box were just as cool as the presents!

Jack's new favorite word since he opened this toy is "Ball" he says it non stop.

Dad likes this toy as much as Jack does, they spent the day shooting hoops.

We turned him into a couch potato already! Grandma and Papa got him this cool kid sized Sesame Street couch.

One of Jack's favorite gifts is his new lion hat, he wears it all day long!

We took Jack to see Santa yesterday, it was perfect timing because the only person in line in front of us was a 20-something who wanted a pic with Santa. I thought Jack would either be A: scared to death of the big man in the suit or B: be super excited. He was neither. Santa made a moderate effort to ask Jack what he wants for Christmas but in typical Jack style when he isn't sure of someone he just ignored him and even closed his eyes at one point and pretended he wasn't there. I'll take that over a "I'm terrified of Santa" tantrum. I was a little disappointed that Santa wasn't more authentic this year.. with all the obesity problems in America I would think it wouldn't be too hard to find an appropriately rotund Santa. All in all it was very uneventful but I think we'll start a picture with Santa tradition (we did it last year too) Jace is less then thrilled about this idea, because of his job he sees old men whose job it is for kids to sit in their lap and he immediately thinks its criminal. Oh well, its Christmas and we can't have Christmas without Santa!

I think its Winter..

Its December 8th and we were just complaining a day or two ago that it didn't even feel like Winter because there was no serious snow... guess Mother Nature taught us a lesson. In the last two days we had over 12 inches of snow.. thats just a guess but after these pictures were taken it continued to snow for another 24 hrs. That should give you a good idea of what living in Utah is like!

I just have to let everyone know how lucky Jack and I are to have a Dad and husband like Jace. This morning (Jace's first day off of three) I slept in like I do everyday Jace is off (he always gets up early to take care of Jack AND work out) I woke up to find that the baby had been fed, the kitchen and bathroom floor swept and mopped (hand mopped by the way.. on his hands and knees) and then Jace proceeded to wash all the dishes, clean the kitchen AND bathroom! He cleared out my list of things to do for the whole week in just a few hours! Now I look forward to his next few days off, we can just relax and not worry about doing chores!

Reasons Why Jace is the BEST:

1. He gets up early every day off to feed and play with Jack so I can sleep in.

2. He never complains about doing chores, and always does more then his share.

3. He always runs out to the store if I even mention that I'd like a snack or drink.

4. He never hesitates if I want some alone time to take care of Jack for me.

5. He loves to buy toys and spoil Jack.

6. He gets up early on his days off to work out (2:30 am!) and then stays up late to spend time with me.

7. If I don't feel like cooking dinner he never complains about taking us out to eat.

8. He is very handy and finds time to not only work full time but to do all the odd jobs around the house.

9. He spoils not only Jack but me too!

10. He rubs my back every night because I love it, even if his arm is tired and falling asleep.

11. He never complains about anything I do or don't do!

12. He lets our puppy Chloe take up most of his side of the bed every night when I push her off my side.

13. He also lets me hog all the sheets in the Summer and all the blankets in the Winter.

14. He cleans toilets!!

15. He never complains about changing diapers (even #2!)

The list could go on and on but we appreciate him so much!

We had so much fun visiting in New Hampshire, here are some of the things we did.

Hung out with Pepe, every morning he made scrambled eggs.

This Summer has been very very busy! We recently bought and moved into a new house, and we got that done just in time for Jack's big FIRST birthday party! Oh how time flies! We don't have the internet yet so I have been horrible at updating the blog and keeping in touch but here is Jack as a big ONE year old! (Thanks to Marybeth Longmore for the pictures!)

Our picnic...

The weather hasn't been very nice this year, and I haven't been able to play with Mommy and Daddy much but we did go on a picnic to Meadow where my great-grandma used to live. I got to see her house for the first time and we Mom brought a picnic lunch that we ate outside! I loved the yard, there were so many trees and bushes and flowers, it was like the Secret Garden. The best part about great-grandma's house is that there is a park right behind it! We got to go on the slide and swings just before the storm hit and we had to go home.

We are so excited that Jack is going to be turning ONE in July!

After we move next week, I hope to get the invitations in the mail but we wanted to make sure that all of our friends and family are invited! Its going to be a kiddie pool party for the little ones so pack up the little swimmers and sunscreen and come hang out! We can't wait to see everyone!

I like the Summertime. Going outside with Mom and Dad and playing frisbee and ball with Chloe is so much fun. I don't like the grass to touch me at all though so I'll only stay on the blanket. Mom and Dad have been working hard on our new house and on moving so it was fun that afterwards we all got to play outside. Dad was BBQ'ing hamburgers for dinner but I didn't get to have one because I only have three teeth so far. I love to be outside with my Family.

As you can tell, Jack is getting to that age where everything is made to climb on, over, under or into. His new zest for adventure is getting him into a lot of trouble and is probably just preparing me for when he gets older and does some really crazy things. As it is now, he is driving his Mom crazy.. I just can't keep up! Jack is standing up against almost everything, whether it can support his weight or not. While I was doing laundry a few days ago Jack decided to shimmy himself behind our entertainment center and play with the wires, I heard a crash and scream and came running. Jack had pulled one of our surround sound speakers onto his head and it left him with a nasty gash and bruise, I'm just glad it missed his eye. It has healed pretty quickly but I'm not looking forward to the many bumps, bruises and cuts that are sure to come.

Keep our fingers crossed guys! We have found the perfect little fixer upper and the Sellers accepted our first offer (which was unexpected!). We will hopefully be in it by the middle of June. We have a lot of work ahead of us, painting, updating etc. but we are up to the task.. just ask us again in a few months how we feel about that!

We were starting to wonder if we had a mutant child with no teeth in his head. I've been asking the doctor about it for months and he kept reassuring me that it was common for some babies to be as old as 13 months before getting any teeth.. I was having nightmares about Jack's fifth birthday and still no teeth. He was super cranky yesterday which is very uncommon for the little guy and it was probably because of his tooth. He still isn't in the best of moods so I'm assuming there are a few more working their way up.. I never thought I'd be so excited to see a tooth!

We have been really enjoying the warm weather, Jack and Chloe can get outside play and Jace can work on his car. He'll probably be mad but I'll post some before pictures so you can see the finished product when he is done. Jack got a new bath toy that allows him to sit up in the tub. I thought he would really like it and made a special trip to Target to buy it for him but the first few times I have put him in it he has screamed bloody murder so hopefully he'll get used to it. Jace and I are taking a trip to Wendover this weekend while Jack spends some time with his Aunt Katelyn and we will also be going to California soon! Thats the plan!

Things I Like by Jack

I have tried and done a lot of new things in the last few months. I liked Valentines Day because I got a special bib to wear, I like to sit up and play with my toys, I love to roll around and get in places I probably shouldnt be in, I like my hat, my excer-saucer is fun to bounce in and it has lots of toys for me, I like to be naked, I have a really cool Jeep and I'm learning to drive, I liked money but Mom and Dad spent it all, I tried lasagna and I think I like wearing it more then I like eating it and I had fun on St. Patricks Day because I got a new shirt!

Soon I hope I have teeth, will crawl instead of rolling and I can start going barefoot when it gets warmer instead of wearing socks all the time, I don't like to wear socks.

Wow how is it that Jack is already six months old! Is it silly that we celebrate half birthdays for him? Probably we will be asking ourselves every year.. How did he get that old already? We just thought we'd post some pics we had taken to capture the half-year mark. We didn't go as far as to have a party but I did make a cake.. Jack didn't get a piece though. I know his One Year mark is just around the corner. Oh how time flies when you are having fun!

Ten Things You Might Not Know About Our Little Family

1. Our dog is our baby, well if you know us at all then you probably know that. Chloe is so spoiled she sleeps in the bed under the sheets with us.

2. Jack only takes naps in the car or in his swing, we'll have to break that habit eventually but it works for now.

3. We eat out like almost every day. I used to love to cook but got out of the habit while I was pregnant, now I'm trying to get back into it but it just seems so much easier to run out and get something whenever we want.

4. Jace prefers working graveyards over day shifts at the jail. (Mostly so he can surf the net and watch movies)

5. At our house we have nicknames, I call Jace "babe", Jack is "bubba" or "jack jack" and I'm "mama" or "pooky bum" (silly I know).

6. We currently have 5 vehicles for two drivers.

7. Jace almost delivered Jack. (seriously)

8. I can read an entire book in a few hours, not the picture book kind. I am a super speedy reader.

9. If we had a girl her name would have been Lauren Avery.

10. Jack hates vegetables just like his dad does. He also doesn't like chicken or turkey. Mostly he likes fruit or whatever we happen to be eating. He no longer thinks he is a baby and should have all the things Mom and Dad have.

Our Family Trip, by Jack

Mom and Dad and I went to California to visit our friends and family after Thanksgiving. We had lots of fun at Emily's wedding shower and visiting with my cousins and aunt and uncle and grandma and grandpa. We flew there on a plane but I don't remember much because I slept most of the time, Mom said I was really good on the plane. It was my second trip to California, I'm really racking in the frequent flyer miles. The best part of the trip was going to the Jelly Belly factory and seeing Santa, I didn't get to try any jelly beans though because I can choke on them. Mom and Dad really liked the "coldstone" flavored jelly beans, they had birthday cake remix, chocolate devotion and chocolate mint too! We also visited the Napa valley and took a tram to the top of a big tall mountain. I can't wait to go back in January!

Eventually I will get a new slideshow on here so you can all see how much Jack is growing but for now I'll just post a few of the latest pics. Jack's latest discovery is the sounds he can make by moving his lips. For now he can say "bbbbb", but he is working on some other letters too. Sometimes we imagine that he says "mama" but he isn't actually associating me with "mama" so I guess it doesn't count yet. The weather finally turned colder and now its even more difficult to get out of the house with a baby! We practically have to pack a suitcase just to run to the store.. a beanie, shoes and socks, jacket, blanket, car seat cover.. you get the idea. Chloe doesn't like the snow much either, she has taken to doing her "business" on Jace's freshly shovelled sidewalks. We are remembering what a pain it was last Winter to stand outside in the cold for thirty minutes waiting for her.. but we wouldn't trade her for the world!

Merry Christmas! Is it too early to say that? Jace has to work today so I'm deciding that we are skipping Thanksgiving this year and just going straight to Christmas. We are leaving for California tomorrow to visit my Grandma and Grandpa, we'll see how Jack feels about flying. I have tons of things to do today which include doing laundry so we have something to wear while on vacation and cleaning the house since I hate coming home from vacation to a dirty house.. but I'm not doing anything productive right now.. Jack is behind me practicing how to say "I Love You" it sounds like "aahhh wwwuuu ooohhhh" but I know what he means. Enjoy the cute Christmas pictures which Jack did NOT enjoy taking as you can tell in most of them.

I still can't believe its almost Thanksgiving. I just got around to uploading Halloween pictures on the computer! Today its 70 degrees outside so I have all the windows and doors open.. but Utah weather is unpredictable so it could start snowing any day now. Hopefully it will wait until after Thursday though because we are taking our family Christmas pictures outside. My friend Janille is an excellent photographer so I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. I'm going to make our Christmas cards out of them too so everyone can get one. I am excited to get some pictures of Jack all dressed up and we are even going to take Chloe so she can be in a few. I'm worried that it will be hard to get Jack to cooperate for pictures cause he is a moody little stinker sometimes, also I can't get him to sit up.. he just slouches over. The kid has no problem standing as long as there is something to balance him but he refuses to sit! Seems like he is doing things a little backwards. We are excited for Thanksgiving because we get to see Jace's grandma Carma from Idaho and then after Thanksgiving we are going to visit my Grandma and Papa in California.

I was having a hard time getting motivated to find a part time job and so I'm going to start selling Lia Sophia jewelry but I'm going to need lots of help from my friends and family to get started! Better Late Then Never by Jack

We had a great time on Halloween hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Lynley and Uncle Levi. Daddy had to work but he is a holiday scrooge so its okay. I dressed up as a cow because my Grandma calls me a "little boo" so Mommy thought it would be funny if I was a "little moo" for Halloween. I even had a tail! My costume was too hot though so I didn't stay in it for long. Auntie Lynley got me a punkin outfit too so I wore that during the day and everyone thought I was cute. I'm still too little to eat candy and go trick or treating. Maybe next year will be more fun.

Back to add more pictures of Jack. Because we live in Nephi, we hardly ever get to show off our baby boy to our friends and family (most of mine live out of state anyway...) Its Halloween tomorrow so there will be more pictures to come soon! Jace and I are amazed at how beautiful the weather is considering that its the end of October! Usually we get the first snow on Halloween and right now its 83 degrees outside! We went for a nice walk today with Chloe and Jack, now I am lazing around and working on updating my resume so I can go back to waitressing a few days a week and Jace is mowing our back lawn (its nap time for Jack). Tomorrow night Jace goes back to work and he is really excited to be working on Halloween night! (not really, being a sherriff's deputy on Halloween probably isn't much fun) I just can't believe the holidays are almost here because its still HOT outside.. I mean jeez I'm still running the AC! Even though there is no sign of snow I am still starting to plan what we will get Jack for Christmas this year.. not much excites a six month old! I'll get working on it and get back to you all!

Family Time

Jace and I are so lucky to be able to spend time together as a family and watch Jack grow! Because Jace works four days on and four days off we get to see eachother ALL the time. We really are spoiled! (Jace probably wishes he could have more time away from us, especially when Jack gets fussy...) We are amazed every day when we wake up and realize that Jack is growing bigger by the minute. I've posted some pictures of Jack when he was a brand new baby and also some updated ones so you can see what I mean!
